CW grows bigger and better!

FEBRUARY 2007 - Embarking into the new year of 2007, Cuisine & Wine Asia (CW Asia), a leading food magazine in the local and international F&B industry, has enhanced its editorial material and changed the creative direction of front cover design.

Every year, CW Asia reinvents itself to better serve its readers and add more dynamism to the publication. When the magazine went retail in 2006 to allow more people to read about food, the editorial and creative teams decided to switch from people-oriented covers to food-oriented covers. Instead of featuring chefs and culinary personalities, delicious yummy-looking food photos became the focus of cover designs. This creative concept has been taken a step further- in 2007, textured backdrops are used for front covers to add more depth to the food photography.

In 2007, the magazine has also added new sections to the editorial content to provide readers with a more interesting and engaging read. The new informative section, ‘Talking point’, is a section in which industry experts are invited to sit down and discuss about specific topics in the industry. With a mantra of ‘anything under the sun’, the discussions can range from lighter topics about tea culture to heavier topics like culinary education.

Another exciting section is ‘Making Choices’ where service staff from various hotel departments like concierge, public relations and housekeeping are featured. For readers who would like to know more about why their favorite friendly service staff chose to go into the hotel industry and the challenges they face at work, this is a very entertaining read.

As a mark of how successful CW Asia is, it has an annual growing reader base and is widely respected in the industry with its in-depth food articles and extensive coverage of major culinary events over the world. It is also a supporting magazine of HOFEX 2007 and World Gourmet Summit 2007. The bi-monthly CW Asia is set to soar to new culinary heights with the continued support of readers and industry professionals.
